As the EFS covers incremental fuel costs within Hapag-Lloyd-operated services, these additional third-party charges require a separate surcharge.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>We will therefore introduce the Emergency Operations Charge (EOO/EOD) to address the operational costs related to third-party feeder services.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>The surcharge will be applied as follows:\u003C/p>\u003Cul>\u003Cli>EOO (Origin): Emergency Operations Charge at origin\u003C/li>\u003Cli>EOD (Destination): Emergency Operations Charge at destination\u003C/li>\u003C/ul>\u003Cp>The applicable surcharge levels per location are listed below:\u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Cimg src=\"https://geekfiles.oss-cn-shanghai.aliyuncs.com/rms/4b9fb725bc5a4241b02b133ffc410aed.png\">\u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>*Small Islands include\u003C/strong>: British Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Anguilla, Dominica, Sint Maarten, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Turks and Caicos Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Barthélemy, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Cbr>\u003C/p>\u003Cp>This surcharge will apply for Non-FMC-regulated trades with cargo gating in on or after \u003Cstrong>April 21, 2026\u003C/strong>. For FMC-regulated trades, as well as Colombia and Ecuador, the surcharge will be effective \u003Cstrong>May 21, 2026\u003C/strong>. The charge will be applied to all container types and will be payable by the sea freight payer.
